Join your neighbors in Allston Brighton for a beautiful day!
SUPPORT Allston Brighton CDC's green space and sustainability programming, which includes our ongoing Sustainable Practices workshop series.

MEET on Sat., June 13 at Brian J. Honan Apartments on 57 Everett Street, just south of the bridge crossing the Mass. Pike.
This is near the Union Square stops on the #57, #64 and #66 bus lines.
CHECK-IN begins at 9:30 am; Walk begins promptly at 10.
WALK through the North Allston neighborhood with us and the Charles River Watershed Association and see examples of sustainable design and recent examples of reclaimed green space. The walk is about 2.7 miles, with several stops along the way. It will take about two hours to complete, making this an appropriate event for families. Highlights include:
- Seeing the greening improvements that have occurred or may occur along Everett St, with the Allston Brighton North Neighbors Forum and the German International School Boston;
- Seeing fuel-efficient technologies for the home at the Boston Green Building showroom;
- Seeing the Lincoln Street Green Strip;
- Visiting Library Park, behind the Honan-Allston Library, with the landscape architect designing it;
- Seeing an example of a stormwater treatment treepit

CONCLUDE at Christian Herter Park/Artesani Playground by the Charles River. The nearest bus lines are the #86 and #70 buses on Western Ave.
Water and snacks provided; bring a bag lunch and picnic with us at the Charles.
